A converted homestead, owned for 3 generations by the same family, with cosy rooms located in the grassy Salmon Meadow with views of the Ocean Icy Strait.
Surrounded by water and snow capped mountains, this is the ideal base from where to explore the local area with a variety of activities on offer including nature walks, kayaking, watching the eagles and whale watching.

Style: An old style homestead with a cosy family atmosphere.
Setting: On Alaska’s eastern peninsular, Gustavas is accessible by ferry and plane from Juneau and airport pick ups can be easily arranged. The Inn is just a five minute drive from the airport.
Accommodation & Facilities: There are both new and old guest rooms, all have a queen and a twin bed. The new rooms all have their own private bathrooms, whereas the 2 older rooms share 1. There is also a naturalist library, family style dining room and a hearth room (living room). The bar serves locally brewed beers and wines.
A wireless internet connection is available through out the Inn.
Dining: Meals are hearty and served in a homely style. There is a wonderful choice for breakfast including pancakes and soda breads and lunch can be eaten in or taken out as a picnic. Dinner usually consists of freshly caught seafood from Icy Strait alongside freshly picked edibles from the gardens. Special diets can be accommodated.
Activities: There is a lot to do here; surrounded by scenery that will consistently take your breath away, make sure you bring a camera! Charter fishing trips can be organised to catch such fish as salmon and halibut, there is also sea kayaking, whale and eagle watching and the chance to go on the hunt for wild strawberries. The sunset hikes are spectacular, trek through the emerald forest or join a naturalist led walk in Glacier Bay.
Child Policy: Children are generally allowed, however it is up to the parent to decide whether you child is ready for the requirements of group travel, will enjoy the experience and not compromise it for others.
