- 3 cabins
- No swimming pool
- Great for watching Grizzly bears!
Style: An old tug boat converted into a cruiser ship, used only for small groups.
Setting: Used on our Kodiak Bear Tours, the Grizzly Cruiser is usually exploring the shores of Hallo Bay in search of coastal Grizzly’s, following the bears from bay to bay.
Accommodation & Facilities: The Cruiser consists of three cabins, sleeping just 6 guests, with upper and lower bunks and two common toilets and showers.
Dining: Meals are provided on the ship throughout the duration of your tour.
Activities: The main activity on board is, of course, watching out for the giant grizzly’s that call this area of Alaska home. As well as travelling the shores watching for bears, we also track them on foot here. Not from viewing platforms, or from vehicles, but on their territory with the protection of your skilled and knowledgeable expedition leader! This is a truly wild encounter and access to the land is via a skiff (fat bottomed boat). Transferring from here to the soil can sometimes get your feet a little wet, but it’s all part of the excitement!
Child Policy: Children over 6 are generally allowed, however it is up to the parent to decide whether you child is ready for the requirements of group travel, will enjoy the experience and not compromise it for others. We suggest you speak to your World Bear Safaris specialist to discuss the specific trip requirements so you can decide on what is best.
